Slovak presidential election, 2014

Slovak tycoon Andrej Kiska won the March 2014 presidential election in the Slovak Republic, despite having no previous political experience.

Mr Kiska, standing for office for the first time, defeated the existing Prime Minister Robert Fico in the second round of voting on the 29 March 2014.
