Spain aims to bring EU states into line

In the context of launching his country's EU Presidency for the period January-June 2010, Spain's prime minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero has proposed setting binding economic objectives for the EU's member states under a 10-year plan to boost growth and competiveness.
