Spain’s centre-right government on 10 April 2012 2012 announced plans to save at least €10bn of public spending by rationalising health and education, in its latest attempt to restore the country’s credibility in international markets following the delayed announcement of the details of the 2012 Budget in Spain had been made the previous week. On the 11April 2012 a frustrated Mariano Rajoy, Spanish prime minister, urged European leaders to stop pointing the finger of blame at crisis-stricken Spain and to work together to strengthen the eurozone. |
