Spring 2017 Economic Forecast

The European Commission published its Spring Forecast on 11 May 2017, expecting the GDP growth for the Eurozone to reach 1.7% in 2017 and 1.8% in the following year, improving from the previous forecast. GDP growth for the European Union as a whole was expected to remain constant at 1.9% in both years.

It was pointed out the European economy had entered its fifth year of recovery, reaching all member states.
