Statement: Fighting Tax Avoidance: Commissioner Moscovici welcomes final adoption of international tax reform package

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) published on 5 October 2015 the final version of its action plan to tackle tax evasion by multinational companies. Supported by over 90 countries, the BEPS (Base Erosion and Profit Shifting) project was expected to be approved by the G20 finance ministers in Lima on 8 October 2015, ahead of its final adoption by the heads of state and government at the Antalya summit (in Turkey) on 14 and 15 November.

Pierre Moscovici, European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs, welcomed the adoption of this policy package plan by the OECD.
