Strasbourg will remain EU capital, France vows

France would never allow Strasbourg to be stripped of its status as a European Union capital, President Francois Hollande said on the 26 April 2015, despite the cost of moving Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and officials there from Brussels each month for plenary sessions of the European Parliament.
