Syngenta takes EU to court over pesticide ban

EurActiv reported that Syngenta, one of the main producers of thiamethoxam, a pesticide used to coat seeds before germination, launched a legal challenge in August 2013 against the European Commission’s decision in April 2013 to temporarily ban the chemical over fears it harms bees.
