Tsipras wins again

Alexis Tsipras's left-wing SYRIZA party comfortably won Greece's second general election of 2015 on the 20 September 2015.

Following the result Mr Tsipras said he would re-form a coalition government with the small right-wing Independent Greeks, which was seen as a 'strategic mistake' by the Socialists & Democrats political group at the European Parliament.
