Ukraine to push for gas ties with Russia

Ukraine will push for solid gas relations with Russia to discourage Gazprom from building pipelines bypassing the country, whichever candidate wins the February 2010 presidential election, a senior Ukrainian diplomat said on 28 January 2010.
