Victims’ families of downed MH17 flight sue Vladimir Putin

The families of the victims of the Malaysian Airlines MH17 flight, shot down over eastern Ukraine by a Russian-made missile in July 2014, decided to file a lawsuit in the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) against Russia's president Vladimir Putin and the Russian state.

These families sought damages in the amount of €6.3 million for each victim, accordingo to media sources.
