Features published before that date are still available via an archive website (see related url hyperlinks).The Elysée Palace has in August 2017 commended Emmanuel Macron's first 100 days in office noting that the French president had passed three important laws and displayed strong leadership on the international stage.

Macron was, however, less popular than his two predecessors at the 100-day mark. Commentators in France and elsewhere were also at odds over his performance.

It was suggested that Macron was coming under fire for labour reform proposals, budget and public spending cuts as well as a plan to create an official First Lady position for his 64-year-old wife Brigitte.
