Virgin Express has complained to the European Commission about a new promotional campaign by Belgium’s national airline Sabena.

The discount airline, which operates services from Brussels airport, said it was concerned about Sabena's new campaign of lower fares, which follows a €250-million cash injection from the Belgian state and Swiss airline holding SAirGroup.
