Foreign policy strategy for the Caribbean area

Three priorities are mentioned in the relations with the Caribbean states: Strengthening representative and participatory democracy, the rule of law and the protection of human rights; promoting sustainable economic, social and environmental development; participating ever more actively in the agreements between the EU and the African, Caribbean and Pacific states.
