7th EU-Egypt Associaiton Council, 25 July 2017

The meeting of the Association Council was co-chaired by the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Policy Federica Mogherini and Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Hassan Shoukry.

The Council endorsed the EU-Egypt partnership priorities for 2017-2020. The identified priorities cover economic reforms, good governance, rule of law and human rights, migration and security/counterterrorism, as well as closer dialogue and cooperation on regional issues.

The Association Council discussed the prospects for enhanced dialogue and cooperation in this framework. Both sides also hed a political dialogue on global and regional issues.

The 7th meeting of the Association Council between Egypt and the European Union was held on 25 July 2017.
