Commission Vice-President Neil Kinnock and Belgian Minister Rik Daems signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the renovation of the Berlaymont building on 17 July 2001. The Memorandum makes provision for a contract that includes a firm maximum price and a fixed date for the finalisation of the works to be signed before the end of the Belgian Presidency. |
