Monti briefs Brown on Brussels moves to tighten state aid rules

Report of a meeting between Mario Monti, European Union Competition Commissioner and Gordon Brown, UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, 9 July 2001 to talk about the need to maintain European economic reforms and, in particular, the issue of Eu rules on state aid to industry.
