Poor countries raise hurdle at WTO

Negotiators at the WTO Ministerial Meeting in Doha which opened on 9 November 2001 said that African and Caribbean nations, as well as India, appear determined to block a new liberalisation drive in spite of huge efforts by the United States and European Union to win their support for the start of negotiations.
