EU prospectus law may let companies opt out / EU could backtrack on company financing law

The European Commissioner for the Internal Market, Frits Bolkestein, said on 19 November 2001 that the European Commission would consider changing its proposed Prospectus Directive to avoid a big increase in costs for small companies. His comments came after 56 small UK-quoted companies denounced the plans.
