Debate over Europe agenda is going our way, says Blair

Tony Blair, UK Prime Minister, welcomed the Declaration on the Future of Europe reached at the European Council in Laeken in December 2001 as a sign that debate about the future of the European Union was going Britain's way. The Declaration included many elements sought by Britain such as rejection of a European superstate and an emphasis on issues that affect daily life, such as crime and climate change.
