Date: 31/01/02 REINHOLD Bocklet, Bavarian minister for federal and European affairs, was yesterday (30 January) unanimously elected chairman of the European People's Party group in the Committee of the Regions (CoR). Bocklet said: 'I will endeavour to strengthen the political and institutional role of the CoR.' He added: 'More account must be taken of its views in the European decision-making process.' Reinhold Bocklet was elected chairman of the European People's Party group in the Committee of the Regions on 30 January 2002. |
