The Union of European Federalists is a supranational organisation embracing European federalist movements from most European countries. It was founded in Paris on 15 December 1946 largely on the initiative of representatives of the Resistance movements who were convinced that the way to secure peace and stability in the post-war world by working for European federation. The UEF's main emphasis today is on the need to build a true European Political Union, including economic and monetary union. |
