The European Court of Auditors has audited two research infrastructure support schemes: Design Studies (DS) and Construction of New Infrastructures (CNI). According to a special report published on 12 July 2010, the DS scheme mainly met its objectives whereas the CNI scheme was judged to have provided low added value.
