Greek PM appoints Italian adviser

Greece’s Prime Minister George Papandreou announced on the 3 August 2010 the appointment of Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa, an Italian former Finance Minister as a special adviser on economic policy. Mr Padoa-Schioppa would advise on economic issues 'specifically macro-economics, taxation, banking and the management of public debt.'
