The Ministry for the Economy sent three proposals for Acts on consumer choice in the electricity and gas sectors to the National Energy Commission on 14 November 2002. Spain's electricity and gas markets will thereby be completely liberalised from 1 January 2003, in compliance with European Union policy. (CNE: Comisión Nacional de la Energía).
