US to press Europe to scrap aircraft

Article says that the US Administration is to make a last-ditch attempt to convince its European allies to scrap a €18bn military transport aircraft project and buy US aircraft instead. The Pentagon will use a meeting with the heads of defence procurement from the UK, France, Germany and Italy in Colorado Springs to question the decision to fund a six-year programme by Airbus to build its A400M military transport aircraft.
