Barnier calms City over Sarkozy comment

Michel Barnier, the prospective new EU single market commissioner, on 30 November 2009 sought to soothe nerves in the City of London after Nicolas Sarkozy, French president, claimed a victory for France in its battle to tame Anglo-Saxon capitalism.
