Kremlin removes nuclear missile commander

Article reports that the Kremlin replaced the commander of Russia’s strategic nuclear missiles General Nikolai Solovtsov on the 3 August 2009 – the latest in a series of top-level departures in the armed forces as the Kremlin pushes ahead with an ambitious reform to transform the military into a smaller, more mobile force able to fight three local or regional conflicts simultaneously.
