Press Release: European Year: 28 ‘Olympic champions of education’ at the Athens Games thanks to the Union

In the context of the European Year of Education through Sport 2004 (EYES 2004), the European Commission and the organising committee for the Olympic Games in Athens (ATHOC) are launching a measure aimed at rewarding young sportsmen and women who have successfully reconciled high-level sport and academic study. 28 young people will thus be 'Olympic champions of education' from 11 August.
