While the impact of EU enlargement on the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and the European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP) in general has been the topic of frequent discussion, little attention has so far been paid to its armaments dimension. In order to address this gap, this paper provides an overview of the defence market and industrial base of the Visegrad countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia), the four new member states with the greatest industrial potential. |
