Varoufakis to launch new movement in Berlin

German media reported in January 2016 that former Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis planned to launch a new political movement in Berlin on the following month.

The pan-European movement, called 'Democracy in Europe Movement 2025' (DiEM 25) aimed at becoming a 'third alternative' to renationalisation and the 'anti-democratic European institutions'.
