The European Commission sent letters of formal notice to Germany, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Sweden, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Luxembourg on 13 October 2004 asking them to transpose the EU directives on the internal market in electricity and gas into national law. |
