The EU Strategic Partnership with the Mediterranean and the Middle East was adopted by the European Council in Brussels, in June 2004. It provides a policy framework for these two regions with a view to promoting political, economic and social reform, generated from within the affected societies, and aims at contributing to their socio-economic development. |
