Press Release: Jàn Figel’ & Dutch minister of Education, Maria van der Hoeven, welcome the adoption of the Maastricht Communiqué on vocational training

Gathering in Maastricht in a conference organised by the Dutch presidency of the EU and the European Commission, ministers from 32 European countries, together with the European Social Partners and the Commission, agreed on 14 December 2004 the Maastricht Communiqué. It set out new priorities and strategies in vocational education and training for the following two years. This communiqué updated the Copenhagen Declaration which had been adopted two years earlier in 2002.
