World not ready to fight flu pandemic, says study

The UK Government is stockpiling enough antiviral drugs to treat a quarter of the population in preparation for a threatened influenza pandemic. The World Health Organisation hosted a meeting on 2-3 March 2005 on European preparations for a flu pandemic.
