Sarkozy in call for ‘hard core G6’ to lead EU

Nicolas Sarkozy, President of France's governing UMP party, has called for the six biggest Member States - France, Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain and Poland - to jointly lead the European Union, in an effort to overcome the institutional inertia caused by the rejection the Constitutional Treaty for Europe.
