East European work applications slow but remain above forecasts

Workers from the eight accession states are continuing to take up hard to fill job vacancies in the United Kingdom a year after they joined the EU, according to the latest Worker Registration Scheme (WRS) figures published on 26 May 2005 by the UK Home Office.
