EU member states have welcomed the United Nations endorsement of a Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (NTBT)

A 158-3 vote in the General Assembly, which pitted EU members against India and Pakistan, showed vast support for a treaty, but it cannot come into force until 44 countries with nuclear power reactors sign and ratify the document.
