Such are the requirements of Euro-protocol that one of Dublin's favourite postcard slogans was not on sale within the precincts of Dublin Castle. It was selling like hot cakes beyond the castle gates however - a splendid number which describes Irish diplomacy as: “The ability to tell a man to go to hell and make him actually look forward to the journey.”
