Date: 18/09/1997 ...after MEPs voted yesterday (17 September) to hold just 11 plenary sessions in Strasbourg next year. France believes the decision runs counter to the agreement reached by EU leaders in 1992 that a dozen sessions should be held annually in the Alsatian capital. Paris has already mounted a legal challenge against similar decisions taken in the past two years. |
