Date: 21/01/1999 As if a week of high-wire tension and knife-edge votes wasn't enough for MEPs, 82 brave members have just been given the results of a cardiovascular health check carried out in October. Aimed at raising awareness amongst Euro MPs of the dangers of heart attacks and strokes, the results revealed that 65&percent; of them had an above-average body fat level, 80&percent; were not taking adequate exercise and 76&percent; had a cholesterol level above the ideal. Maybe there are such things as free lunches, after all. |
