The European Commission has unveiled plans for a promotional campaign

to attract more than €30 billion of investment in solar, wind and other renewable energy between now and 2003. The campaign is aimed at ensuring the EU meets its goal of doubling its consumption of renewables to 12&percent; of total energy consumption by 2010. The “Campaign for Take-Off” will seek to promote partnerships between government and industry, and develop a common logo for projects involved in the campaign.
