Europe’s banking and insurance industries have criticised draft EU legislation

The Comité Européen des Assurances (CEA) and the European Savings Bank Group (ESBG) said the proposed directive on distance selling was unworkable in its current form. Their warnings come as the European Parliament's consumer affairs committee prepares to scrutinise the proposals at meetings on 16 and 30 March.
