After months of wrangling, Union culture ministers have finally agreed a budget for the Union’s Media Plus film aid programme for the next five years

In a victory for the French presidency and despite strong pressure from the UK and the Netherlands for a lower figure, ministers agreed a total budget of €400 million for the scheme, which is due to start in January.
