URBAN success stories. Building a better tomorrow in deprived neighbourhoods

Launched in 1994, the URBAN Community Initiative has funded programmes in 118 urban neighbourhoods, This report considers twenty-one stories from within twelve different cities' URBAN programmes, demonstrating how integrated and community-based projects have succeeded in reversing the feeling of destitution and despair in some of Europe's most deprived neighbourhoods.
