WTO deal fails to heal rifts

Members of the World Trade Organisation meeting at the 6th WTO Ministerial Conference in Hong Kong, 13-18 December 2005 reached a compromise agreement on the final day, but had to postpone until 2006 all the most difficult negotiations in the Doha Round.
