The European Commission on 23 February 2006 cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of Scientific-Atlanta, Inc. ('Scientific-Atlanta') by Cisco Systems Inc. ('Cisco'), both of the US. The Commission found that the operation would not result in a significant impediment to effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it. |
