Danuta Hübner, European Commissioner for Regional Policy, together with Philippe Maystadt, President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), and Horst Reichenbach, Secretary General at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), opened on 12 January 2007 the new regional office for the JASPERS facility in Warsaw. JASPERS ('Joint Assistance to Support Projects in European Regions') is a new partnership between the European Commission and the two Banks to assist the central and eastern European Member States to develop high quality projects which will receive support from the EU's Structural and Cohesion Funds. |
