The new economic and social agenda, the enlargement process, the White Paper on Governance and quality of life will be the priorities for the European Commission in 2001, as outlined in its annual working programme adopted on 31.1.01. These priorities follow the 'Strategic Objectives 2000-2005', which were adopted by the Commission in the previous year to identify a number of key elements for action for its term of office. |
