The European Union has tabled a plan to the WTO to help developing countries rich in biological resources to reap benefits from biotech inventions that make use of their bio-resources. The plan is set out in a concept paper to the Council for Trade-related aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), which met at the World Trade Organisation in Geneva on 17-18 September 2002. |
