Bankers expect few problems

European regulators, companies and antitrust lawyers expressed surprise and anger, 5 April 2002, at plans by the US Defense Department to require all big foreign acquisitions of American companies to be approved by a national security committee. However, investment bankers and corporate financiers said they expected few problems with foreign companies making takeovers for US groups in the wake of the Pentagon's plan .
